Battery tester for extreme temperatures
Car batteries usually last three to five years but can die suddenly. Even if your battery appears charged, it could be weak. Warm weather and regular driving can conceal this, but cold temperatures or neglect can lead to starting issues. It's crucial to get a battery test with a BA101 to be sure.

Winter shouldn’t surprise you with car battery problems! Say goodbye to uncertainty with the BA101. When winter hits, your car battery’s condition can become unpredictable. By the end of the season, you’re left wondering. BA101 offers a quick, accurate test to remove all the guesswork
as a safe and reliable car battery tester, it features safety mechanisms like reverse polarity and overload protection, has a user-friendly LCD display, and is known for its durability and compliance with industry standards, all contributing to its safety and reliability.
Does this tester work with 6V or 24V batteries?
No, this tester is designed for 12V lead-acid batteries (30–200Ah). It does not support lithium, 6V (below 30Ah), or 24V systems. For 6V or 24V testing, consider the BA101 Pro or Plus, with Plus supporting 6V+12V and Pro supporting 12V+24V
Is this tester powered by a built-in battery?
No. Like most car battery testers, it is powered by the vehicle’s 12V battery during testing for more accurate results. Testers with built-in batteries are typically basic voltage/esistance testers and not intended for automotive system diagnostics.
How can I get the most accurate test results?
For best accuracy, make sure the correct battery type, battery standard, and CCA rating are selected. Always connect the clamps directly to the battery terminals. For stable results, test the battery after the engine has been off for about 2 hours.
Do I need to remove the battery from the vehicle to test it?
No. The battery can be tested directly on the vehicle, making routine checks faster and more convenient. Our tester offers two modes: “battery in vehicle” and “battery out of vehicle.” You can choose the mode that best fits your testing situation
Is this tester safe to use?
Yes. It is built with reverse polarity protection and high-performance power cables to ensure safe and reliable testing, helping protect both the tester and the vehicle’s electrical system during use

The AH value is required (from your battery label). If it's missing, choose the 'Battery Test' menu.
Select correct parameters (Type, CCA Rating). Attach clamps to terminals or as close as possible.
Ensure correct clamp connection, clean terminals, and verify battery voltage before testing.
Ensure normal battery voltage and turn off unnecessary electrical loads for more accurate testing.

Test your charging system today and drive confidently tomorrow!
3 Reasons to Stop Checking Your Car’s Battery with a Multimeter
Charge Retention: Multimeters may give false readings as car batteries can hold a charge even when their capacity is low.
Low Load Impact: Multimeters have high impedance, putting minimal load on the battery and leading to inaccurate voltage readings.
Better Options: Dedicated battery testers like BA101 with lower impedance provide more reliable results than standard multimeters, ensuring accurate assessments of battery health.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Using a Car Battery Tester
When using a car battery tester, here are some common mistakes to avoid: incorrect connections, poor battery contact, wrong parameters (such as inputting the wrong battery type or cca), testing immediately after turning off the engine, leaving electrical loads on, skipping the charging system test, and not testing according to the battery's capacity. Being aware of these mistakes will help ensure more accurate and reliable test results.
Get Your Test Results Printed Quickly
To transfer and print test data from the ANCEL BA101, simply download and install the required drivers from the official ANCEL website. Then, connect the tester to your computer using the included USB data cable. You can transfer the test results and print them using your computer's connected printer.
