How do you switch between the 3 colors and adjust brightness? Is it complicated?
Super simple. One button cycles through warm, cool, and natural light. To adjust brightness, just hold the same button down and it dims or brightens smoothly (stepless dimming).
Does this light actually cover a full page, or are there dark spots around the edges?
It covers the whole page really well. The panel is clear and evenly lit, so there are no dark corners or bright spots in the middle. I was surprised how uniform the light is, it honestly feels like the page is glowing.
Is this good for a college student in a dorm? Will it bother my roommate at night?
I use mine in a shared dorm and it's been great. The light stays on your page and doesn't spill everywhere. On warm light with low brightness, my roommate can't even tell it's on. Highly recommend for late-night studying or reading.
Does it get hot or hurt their eyes?
My 8 year old uses it every night. It doesn't get warm at all, and the light is flicker-free with no harsh glare. You can dim it very low, so it's gentle on young eyes. I feel completely comfortable letting them use it alone.
How long does the battery last on a full charge, especially on the brightest setting?
I tested mine out of curiosity. On high brightness, I got around 7–8 hours. On medium, it lasted about 16 hours. And on low, it kept going for over 30 hours. It charges fully in about 3 hours with the included USB cable.
