The durable MHS338BT handheld marine radio is IPX8 submersible and built to float. It includes a water-activated emergency strobe and a flashlight. A drop-in charging cradle and a Li-ion rechargeable battery are provided. Automatic Backlight Switching offers white for daytime and amber for nighttime use. Featuring integrated GPS, NOAA weather alerts, and an FM radio, it helps you remain connected and informed. Full 6 WATT TRANSMIT POWER delivers maximum range. The High/Low power level selection allows you to increase transmitter power from 1.0W to 2.5W to 6.0W for extended transmission distance. GPS (Favorite Position mode) enables you to save your present location and manually input other positions. You can store positions in a directory to revisit them as needed. BLUETOOTH WIRELESS - Bluetooth capability permits use of a smartphone app (iOS and Android) to configure the radio and to send text messages to other VHF radios with text messaging ability.
