Do these screw-in plugs really work? Are they a permanent or temporary fix?
Yes,they work great for small punctures. Many users reported tires held air for weeks. This is a temporary roadside repair—for highway driving, we recommend a professional follow-up. For slow vehicles like lawnmowers or ATVs, some use them long-term.
Are these plugs rubber? Mine look like metal screws.
They have a metal core with a rubber coating—not solid rubber. The metal provides strength and grip; the rubber creates the seal. This design helps the plug stay in place. If rust is a concern, apply rubber cement before installing.
The included screwdriver is tiny. What should I use instead?
The screwdriver is for emergency use only. For proper installation, use a #2 Phillips screwdriver or a drill with a Phillips bit. It’s much easier and gives you better torque.
My tire hole is bigger than the plug—will it still work?
These work best for punctures 3/16 inch or smaller. If the hole is larger or on the sidewall, try a traditional plug or visit a shop. Our kit includes multiple sizes—pick the closest match, but don’t force it.
How do I know if I installed it correctly?
Inflate the tire, spray soapy water on the repair, and check for bubbles. No bubbles = good seal. If you see bubbles, tighten slightly or add rubber cement.
