Why does the anchor spin inside the wall during installation?
This is caused by over-tightening. Slowly screw it in until it's flush with the wall – there's no need to over-tighten (over-tightening can cause the anchor to spin inside the wall).

If you're dealing with solid or thickly coated walls, lightly tap part of the anchor into the wall with a hammer before screwing it in.
