OVERVIEW

The Goodyear G647 RSS is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles.

The tire promotes great all weather traction. The tread design and the all season tire compound improve the tire's dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound keeps its rubber flexibility, while the tread elements firmly grip the road surface throughout the year. The wide circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint, enhancing the wet weather traction. As a result, the tire received its M+S rating, noting its capability to perform year round.

The ribbed tread pattern's constant road contact boosts the tire's controllability. The tread ribs closely follow the road surface at all times, which upgrades the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The tire's structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it while the tires are in motion and its steering becomes faster and more accurate in its responsiveness to the driver's commands. The better control over the tires allows the driver to confidently maneuver the vehicle.

The G647 RSS offers a lengthened tread life. The reinforced tread design with the optimal ribbed shoulder pattern and siping detail and the durable tire compound work together to lengthen the tread life. The ribbed pattern avoids the formation of irregular tread wear across the tread area, while the compound significantly slows the tread wear rate down. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
