OVERVIEW

The Travelstar UN99 is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire ensures great all weather traction. The tread design and the all season compound work together to increase the dry, wet and winter weather traction. The optimized tread firmly grips the road surface and increases the road contact at all times, while the all season compound maintains its flexibility even in colder temperatures. This combination earned the tire its M+S rating. The wide circumferential grooves and the detailed siping detail actively disperse water and slush from below the tire's footprint to effectively resist hydroplaning, further enhancing the tire's year round driving safety.

The tread design features a solid center rib and large shoulder tread blocks that firmly grips the road surface. The solid center rib keeps the tire's road contact at all times which boosts its steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering becomes quicker and more precise and the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure. The constant road contact of the shoulder tread blocks increases the number of biting edges. The higher number of biting edges manage to improve the cornering ability and power by maintaining constant road grip in all weather conditions.

The UN99 features a variable pitch sequence. This sequence negates the road noise generated while the tires are in motion. It creates a sound frequency that manages to cancel all road and tread pattern noise before they reach the vehicle's cabin. As a result, the tire guarantees a quiet and comfortable driving experience.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
