Does this modem have a power on/off switch?

There is not a power switch per say; in order to reboot the modem you just pull the power cord and plug it back in. I've had this unit for seven months now and it has worked flawlessly. I have only had to reboot it a handful of times.

Can landline phone work with this modem?

This is a cable modem that has to be hooked up to cable company. It doesn't have any phone jacks available on it. So the short answer is NO.

Will this work with Cox communications?

I used this modem with Time Warner cable. I do not know whether it will work with Cox Communications cable. The best place to direct your question is to Cox Communications.

Is this unit Charter Communications ready yet?

Just spoke with Charter Communications today. Tech support said the CM-400 is not on their 'Whitelist' and CC does not support IPv6 yet. Tech's response was 'it might work'. ccs

no, you have to use a wireless router for wifi.
