Question 1

Would the Klipsch KG-200 Pro Audio Wired Gaming Headset work successfully with my Rosetta Stone program?  The headphone-mic  that came with Rosetta Stone was inferior, failed shortly after purchase.  The need would be for quality mic/hearing since Ros.Stn. "grades" one's speaking, and so a student can not move on in the software until R.S. judges one as skilled with the speech pattern in a given step.

With windows 7, I'm unsure. The mic didn't seem to have that much gain to hear me when using google chrome's voice search function, but I'm sure that there's something I'm not doing right

I've noticed a lot of reviews on a "hissing sound" and then I saw some reviews mention a usb power outlet kind of thing to fix said "hissing sound", I wanted to clarify that If you plug the thing into the wall and into the computer, it would fix the hissing sound?

For me, this headset makes a slight hissing sound when using the provided USB device (which is a type of amplifier, as I understand it) . Also, my computer will not detect this headset without using the provided USB device.

The instructions suggest plugging the headset's USB cable into a separate USB power source for best results (instead of adding the provided USB device to it in a regular USB port). The provided USB device is for those who don't have the right type of USB port to power the headset separately.

I tried plugging the headset's USB connector into a regular USB 2.0 port on my computer. When I did, my computer no longer recognized the headset. So, I would guess the required type of separately powered USB port is one that can recharges cell phones faster than a regular USB port, or maybe certain powered USB hubs. Those would provide more power than a standard USB port. Unfortunately I do not have either one of those to test that theory.

Personally, I do not think the hissing sound is bothersome, especially when audio is coming through, so I just deal with it. However, this headset is not very good for listening to music (in my opinion), but it does sound great for games, especially FPS and RTS (again, that is just my opinion).

Does this headphones simulates the 7.1 surround audio?

Question 4

How well does this head set work with Xbox one? And how does it connect (tv, Xbox usb, controller, etc.)?

It does not work with Xbox One out of the box. It requires a third-party adapter according to the Klipsch website. I don't use mine with Xbox One, so I have no idea what would be needed. I would guess it's whatever adapts an Xbox 360 cable to Xbox One cable.

As for connectors, it has separate cables for Xbox 360, Sony Playstation, PC, etc. The USB gadget is more like a an amplifier. It has to be plugged into a powered USB port (maybe a phone charger would work), It is necessary to control the volume and such on the headset.

Question 5

what is the size of the plug ?  I would like to use it on a laptop that has one single plug for connecting, does this headset uses the small plug to connect into a laptop ?

For laptops, all goes through the USB port which I find very convenient.
