How did we get our start?
In the early 1920’s, Ralph K. Odor started work on a new airplane design. By the 1930’s, his patented Power Vortex design influenced modern aviation. The Vornado Plane derived its name from “Vortex” and “Tornado”, based on its pioneering aerodynamics.

Now, a new generation can experience a Vornado descendent. Meet VFAN Jr. Its metal construction and authentic styling recreates our classic design for look and function to blend perfectly in smaller rooms. Our lil’ VFAN sibling continues the Vornado family legacy of delivering unparalleled whole room air circulation with our signature Vortex Action.

We took the time to understand and improve complex circulation and aerodynamic challenges so that you can simply enjoy the comfort. Inlet Guide Cones direct air to the most efficient parts of the propeller blades. Deep-pitched propeller blades bite off and circulate more air. Duel injector cones and powerful blades cause the air leaving to spiral - allowing it to travel farther than typical fans.
