When a vehicle passes through the sensor's 2 to 12 feet magnetic field, it triggers your gate opener to open the gate, supports any third-party gate operation, its control board provides 12-24VDC/AC accessory power, and has normal open & dry contact signal input. Comes with a 100-foot direct burial cable (PVC jacketed 5-core cable), the probe should be trenched and placed next to your drive
