ALFA AWUS036ACHM is a long range dual band USB WiFi adapter compatible with Microsoft Windows PCs. It features an RP-SMA antenna port and a 5 dBi dual-band antenna. The antenna is detachable and can be upgraded. It also has a power amplifier that increases it's reception range compared to ALFA's single antenna 802.11 n products.
This is capable of receiving and transmitting on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 Ghz bands. With 802.11 ac standard routers, AWUS036ACHM can achieve throughput speeds up to 433 Mbps. This adapter is backward compatible with 802.11 n WiFi routers, but will have limited speed with those networks. An 802.11 ac router is required for the maximum throughput.
The high receive sensitivity coupled with the internal power amplifier also allow it to pick up Wi-Fi signals from up to 3 times the distance of newer internal 802.11 ac Wi-Fi cards shipping inside today's laptops. This is brand new in retail box and includes the adapter, a 5 dBi dual-band detachable antenna, and a clip you can use to attach it to a laptop LCD bezel. We buy direct from ALFA and are an authorized retailer of ALFA products. Check directly with ALFA to verify you are getting a 100% genuine ALFA adapter.
Compatibility
It will work with any computer that has an available USB port and Window Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/ 8.1, or Windows 10. Kali Linux now supports packet injection for this adapter (LED light does not illuminate in Linux currently).
DRIVER CD not included: With many modern laptop and desktop PCs no longer having a CD or DVD drive, ALFA has phased out the driver CD out of environmental waste concerns.
