From the Manufacturer The Zyxel GS1200-8HPv3 is an 8-port Gigabit PoE web managed switch delivering IEEE 802.3at PoE+ on four of its eight RJ-45 ports. Each PoE+ port supplies up to 30W with a shared 68W budget, while the remaining four ports provide standard Gigabit connections. This combination supports small offices deploying IP cameras, wireless APs, and VoIP phones alongside wired computers, printers, and NAS storage through a single switch with 16 Gbps switching capacity at 11.9 Mpps. The browser-based management interface requires no dedicated software. It displays real-time PoE draw per port and enables remote reboot of individual PoE devices without physical access, which is particularly useful for cameras or APs needing periodic restarts. Configuration options include IEEE 802.1Q VLAN for segmenting traffic between departments or device types, port-based QoS with Weighted Round Robin for VoIP and video prioritization, IGMP snooping v1/v2/v3 for multicast delivery efficiency, and LACP link aggregation on ports 3-4 or 7-8 for bandwidth bonding and redundancy.
