The EnGenius X-treme SMB EAP 600 is a concurrent dual-band 2.4 + 5GHz Wireless-N Indoor Access Point that features high transmit RF power (29 dBm on 2.4GHz and 26 dBm on 5GHz) for long range connectivity. With wireless speeds up to 300Mbps on each radio and a Gigabit port for connecting to a switch or router it's ideal for expanding a network with additional bandwidth to support additional users.
With the dual-band Wireless-N EAP600 companies can now offer employees, guests, staff or students more expanded options for users who transfer large files within the network or use other bandwidth intensive applications like streaming HD video. The EAP600 is ideal for extending networks within large or multi-story buildings or expansive, client-intensive facilities like hotels, resorts, hospitals, office buildings, universities or other multi-building campus facilities.
Dual-Band, 11n concurrent speeds to 300 Mbps on each band, the EAP600 is a network workhorse. Utilizing Band Steering, the EAP600 automatically detects and shifts Dual-Band-capable clients to the less congested 5 GHz band, greatly optimizing overall network bandwidth.
Achieve greater indoor coverage range and device connectivity with powerful, 29dBm transmit power and high-receive sensitivity. The EAP600 offers more than 2Xs greater wireless coverage over mainstream competitors by combining an integrated, 5dBi, Omni-directional antenna array.
Configure multiple APs for Fast Roaming (802.11r and 802.11k), ensuring client authentication occurs seamlessly before client devices move to the next AP, providing continuous connectivity for devices in motion with fast, secure roaming.
Deploy and power the EAP600 anywhere it is needed, regardless of its proximity to power outlets. With 802.3af PoE support, the AP is easily powered up to 328 feet from an 802.3af-capable PoE Switch or injector for installation where power outlets are not readily available such as on ceilings or in hallways, and in building rafters or attics.
