This LinksTek X540T2 is a PCIE 2.1 x8 to dual 10GbE RJ45 converged ethernet adapter that simplifies network migration to 10GbE for desktop PCs, network attached storage (NAS), and data centers, making it ideal for storage, virtualization, gaming, and 8K HD video streaming. It is compatible with legacy Gigabit Ethernet switches and Cat 6A cables, delivering efficient 10GbE network connectivity and reliable RJ45 performance for distances up to 100 meters when using Cat 6A cables. The adapter simplifies installation into servers and supports auto-negotiation of network speeds between 1GbE and 10GbE. It fully supports Intel Virtualization technology for connectivity, including on-chip QoS and traffic management, Flexible Port Partitioning (FPP), Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq), PCI-SIG SR-IOV, Intel Data Direct I/O Technology, and intelligent offloads. FPP enables servers to utilize the SR-IOV function, while the QoS functionality is applicable to both virtual and non-virtual servers. This unified networking solution consolidates traffic from multiple data center networks, such as LAN and SAN, allowing users to choose NFS, iSCSI, or FCoE to transmit both network and storage traffic at speeds of up to 10 Gb/sproviding a reliable method for connecting servers to iSCSI SANs.
