Does this 10G/5G/2.5G/1G Auto-Sensing SFP+ adapter support 100M and 10M connections?
YES to 100M flexibility! All Auto-Sensing speeds (10G5G2.5G1G100M). Not for obsolete 10M devices.
Why does my SFP+ adapter get burning hot?
Your 10G/5G/2.5G/1Gbps SFP+ to RJ45 adapter is designed to operate safely at 14-158°F(-10~+70°C ) - this is completely normal for high-speed modules. No need for concern!
Can I use regular Ethernet cables (like CAT6), or do I need special ones?
We recommend using CAT6a or CAT7 shielded twisted-pair (STP) cables for stable 10G performance, especially over distances longer than 15 meters. CAT6 cables may work for short runs (<10m), could not rated for full 10GBASE-T bandwidth.
