Then, select the correct mode using the sliding switches: for Self-Leveling (for horizontal/vertical lines), set the top switch to OFF and the side switch to ON. If the laser flashes, it indicates an uneven surfacesimply move the tool to a flatter spot. For angled lines, use Manual Mode by setting the top switch to ON and the side switch to OFF.
