This NGFF M-Key NVMe extension kit includes two M.2 M-key PCB adapters connected by a 40-centimeter SFF-8654 flat cable, designed purely for extending native NVMe M.2 slots on motherboards. It only transmits NVMe PCIe signals and cannot convert NVMe to SFF-8654 or vice versa.
It fully supports all M-Key NVMe M.2 SSDs ranging from short 2230 up to ultra-long 22110 specifications, compatible with mainstream brands including Samsung, WD, Kingston, Crucial, ADATA, Intel, Toshiba and more. Perfect for compact PC builds, mini workstations and custom chassis where the original M.2 slot is blocked by heat sinks, graphics cards or power modules, allowing you to relocate the SSD for better airflow and thermal performance.
The SFF-8654 intermediate cable adopts EMI shielding structure to eliminate electromagnetic crosstalk, ensuring consistent low-latency high-speed data transfer without bandwidth throttling. Both male and female PCBA boards feature gold-plated contact pins to cut resistance and resist oxidation, plus reserved screw mounting holes for firm fixation inside cases.
Plug-and-play without extra drivers, compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems. Note: This cable exclusively works with M-Key NVMe SSDs; it is incompatible with B-Key / B+M Key SATA SSDs, SAS hard drives and PCIe AHCI non-NVMe storage devices. Ideal for content creators, DIY high-performance PCs and small server storage layout optimization.
