This complete storage expansion kit consists of a PCIe x4 to SFF-8654 Slimline SAS adapter card and dedicated SFF-8654 to SFF-8639 U.2 connection cable, used to expand high-speed 2.5-inch U.2 NVMe SSDs for motherboards without built-in U.2 ports.

The PCIe expansion card supports both PCIe 3.0 and PCIe 4.0 standards, providing full x4 lane bandwidth to ensure low-latency mass data read and write. It comes with two interchangeable metal brackets (full-height and low-profile) to fit various chassis including regular PC cases, compact editing workstations and rack storage servers. The onboard SFF-8654 SlimSAS port transmits native NVMe PCIe signals without protocol conversion.

The supporting SFF-8654 to SFF-8639 cable features thick multi-layer shielding and gold-plated locking connectors to block electromagnetic interference inside crowded enclosures, sustaining steady high-speed performance for database processing, 4K/8K video rendering and enterprise data backup. Built-in power pins can directly power U.2 SSDs with no extra power cables needed.

It supports mainstream SFF-8639 U.2 NVMe SSDs from Intel, Samsung, WD, Micron and other enterprise storage brands. No additional drivers needed, directly plug and play on Windows desktop, Windows Server and Linux industrial systems.
