This SATA 3.0 port multiplier adapter (models ADP6ST0 J05 & ADP6ST0 J02) adopts mature JMICRON JMB575 controller chip, which turns one motherboard SATA III port into five available SATA 7PIN storage interfaces to expand storage capacity for PC, media server and small NAS devices.
It strictly follows Serial ATA Port Multiplier 1.2 specification. Critical note: your motherboards onboard SATA chip or add-on SATA PCIe card must support PM function; otherwise the system can only detect one hard drive instead of all five connected disks.
Each SATA channel reaches native 6Gbps transmission speed, supporting asynchronous data read/write for multiple storage devices. Integrated multiple power management modes effectively reduce idle power consumption of hard disks and lower long-term operating costs. The board reserves an external DC 5V power input via USB cable to supply extra stable power for multi-disk working scenarios, avoiding hard disk identification failures caused by insufficient SATA port power supply.
Supports hot plug of SATA hard drives without system restart, and optional staggered spin-up to avoid instantaneous current surge when multiple hard disks boot together. It works seamlessly with all standard 2.5/3.5-inch SATA HDD, SATA SSD and ATAPI optical drives, widely applied to data archive workstations, private cloud storage and surveillance recording hosts.
Package includes SATA data cable, USB DC power cord and mounting screw set for quick chassis installation.
