When do I need to use the backing fabric?
The backing fabric is used for rips, cuts, and holes larger than 1/4 of an inch. You do not need backing fabric for surface damages, such as peeling or scratched areas. For surface damages, apply the repair compound directly.
If I made a mistake, how should I start over?
Have a damp cloth or sponge ready to wipe off before use. If the patching paste is slightly dry, use alcohol or a cosmetic sponge to wipe off the patch. Note that the patching paste is very difficult to wipe off once it is completely dry.
How can I get the color I want?
We know that color matching can be challenging, we recommend testing in a small area first to make sure the color is right, if not ,send us a picture of your repair project in natural lighting and we will give you personalized advice.
What types of damage can this vinyl repair kit repair?
The leather repair kit can easily repair scratch, tear, rip, crack, cut, hole, pet cat or dog damage on your scratched, cracked, peeling leather.
