A: No, it is a Plug & Play device. No drivers are required, it is automatically recognized by your computer after connecting USB or Type C.
Q2: Can it erase and rewrite discs?
A: Yes, only with RW and DVD-RAM drives. R discs (CD-R / DVD-R / DVD+R) are for single use and cannot be erased. Erasing is done via computer burning software.
