why said it is a universal igniter kit?
Because the igniter can be used for any propane products to ignite natural gas or propane.
but,you have to do some modification based on your grill/stove.
the igniter set with groud connection point,without connect ground,the igniter cannot be worked.but this igniter do not need connect ground wire directly.
you can find a small slice of silver line on the igniter,that should connect the ground or your metal grill plate.
How to Install a Piezo Igniter Set on your Grill, Stove, Heater?
* The drilling mounting hose of your stove grill is necessary before you want to install this kit if your stove do not have current hole to insert the piezo.
* The electrode wire cable just 30cm long, so make sure it fits the installation position before ordering.
* The igniter cannot work if you do not connect the ground point to the plate of grill or connect ground wire.
The right picture show the ground connection line. Normally it installed on a metal plate of your grill, heater.
But if you do not have metal plate on your project, you can attach a metal piece or try to connect a cable to ground as well in this part.
So the igniter will work properly.
It can be worked for natural gas or propane.
Piezo igniter may need several times to push to ignite gas.
