The 158649 1/2" #10 3G Slim Line clear filter housing is designed for residential Point of Use drinking water applications. The compact design with integrated bracket allows installation into area that have space restrictions. The housing is compatible with 10 x 2-1/2 inch size cartridges. The sump is made of clear plastic that allows for on-site viewing of flow and cartridge condition, and the cap includes a pressure relief button that simplifies cartridge replacement. The cap has 1/2" female NPT threaded inlet and outlet connections. Also included is a rubber O-ring to ensure a watertight seal. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Designed for most residential drinking water applications. Pentair housings allow installation of replaceable cartridges that fit inside housings designed to perform as a filtration system. Filtration systems can consist of a single stage or multiple stages, using one, two or more types of filter cartridges to reduce multiple contaminants. This CBC-10 carbon filter cartridge reduces fine sediment, chlorine taste and odor in residential and commercial drinking water. It has a nominal (85%) filtration rating of 0.5 micron, and 99.95% efficiency for the reduction of chlorine. It will reduce free available chlorine (FAC) at 2 parts per million (ppm) by at least 90% in up to 20,000 gallons at a flow rate of 2 gallons per minute (gpm). This cartridge is made of bonded powdered activated carbon (PAC) filter media wrapped in polyolefin with polyethylene outer netting. The nitrile butadiene rubber (Buna-N) gaskets seal the cartridge against the housing (sold separately).
