Can this item (N82E16820403052) AMD Radeon R9 2400 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model R9316G2401U2K work on this board? Only says (2400 OC) not much else.

Yes, that is exactly the same RAM I have installed on the same motherboard. You will need to change the RAM profile in the motherboard BIOS to get it to run at 2400MHz though. I also purchased the AMD A10-7850K APU. This combination is great!

will a fx-8350 work on this board?

No because this board has a FM2+ socket and the FX-8350 is a AM3+ socket processor. The Crosshair V would be a better motherboard for you.

mine does not have an m. 2 slot. I think the follow-up model to this board does have that slot however. I believe this model came out about 2 years ago you should look for the current-gen model and it probably will have that.

id like to know if the "AMD Athlon X4 860K Kaveri" will work on this motherboard. i want a non apu processor and this is the best one i can find for now?

I am using an A-series CPU, however, I can't see why an Athlon wouldn't work considering they are both FM2+. On that note, I've also checked ASUS's site and they say they are compatible. I'm not allowed to include the link, but if you check out "SUPPORT" then "CPU SUPPORT" on ASUS's site under the crossblade ranger, it lists all compatible CPU's if you need the list. The BIOS version needed is also listed, and it is also possible that you would need to flash your BIOS. I didn't have to, but it is a possibility.

Stephen, Yes, the motherboard can easily run this graphics card. Just make sure your power supply is at least a 500 watt model with graphic cables to connect to the card. Hope this helps and enjoy your first build. It is all about learning your first time building. My advice for a first build is never freak out over anything weird you come across.

Can I use the AMD A10-6800K with this mobo. The processor I am talking about is an FM2 and this mobo is a FM2+....compatibility issues maybe? Or no?

FM2+ boards work with both FM2 and FM2+ cpu's. You will be fine with the A10-6800.

Anyone knows if this motherboard is compatible with AMD Athlon X4 860K Quad-Core 3.7GHz Socket FM2+ 95W Desktop Processor (BLACK EDITION)?, I read that many people needs to flash bios before use it in several MB.

This is quite literally the latest and best motherboard on the market for the FM2+ Socket and A88X Platform.  If you have questions about CPU support for a motherboard, go to the manufacture's website.  Usually found under the support option for the motherboard you will find a RAM compatibility and CPU compatibility list along with the required BIOS version for it to work.

I can't tell from the specs, so I'll ask it here: How many USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connectors are there? (Connectors as in front panel to motherboard)

It is literally my only complaint about the board.  It only has 3 USB 2.0 headers and 1 USB 3.0 header.  (Plus the back panel that you already see in the pictures)

One of the 2.0 headers is a "proprietary" header for the ASUS front panel OC tool thingy...  but it works just fine with anything and everything I have tried.

Is this motherboard nvidia compatible?

You can utilize one NVidia graphics card with the Crossblade Ranger. However, if you want to use to Two or Three video cards, it is only CrossFireX compatible. It is really really good quality board that will allow you to use the R9 270 or R9 280, a good AMD card, and then add a second when the prices drop. Just my opinion.
