It is absolutely red, not orange. It's very appealing and up close it looks like red anodized aluminum.

Since this ram is not on the list do I try it or just return it and get ram that is on the official list for the mo board?

I used ram which was not on their official support list, and it works. Their list is only a subset of supported RAM. Yours should work as well, since it's a 288-pin.

If you want confirmation, I suggest adding the two parts on pcpartpicker, and it will tell you if there are compatibility problems.

Wheres the game that Asassins creed code thats supposed to come with this motherboard?

You have to go to the ASRock website. There, they have instructions on how to redeem the code.

Basically you have to download and install the AppShop app from the ASRock website. In there, there's a place to enter the purchase date and serial number of your motherboard and upload a copy of your invoice. Once you enter the information, you get an email within 72 hours with the Assassins Creed code.

Can I install the operating system onto a M.2 SATA 3 SSD? In other words, can I boot from the M.2 on this motherboard?

Yes. I have it done on mine. With Win10 it creates two partitions and then will boot from one of them. Should all get handled automatically, but if there is a problem you can select which partition to use.

No, it does NOT. The second PCIe slot only does x4 and x8 is required for SLI. This board only does crossfire.

Doesn't really matter. You can't get that update through official channels anymore. The feature that allows you to overclock non-k intel CPUs so that you don't have to shell out more money for an unlocked one was removed. I'll give you one guess who made that decision.

I am confused about the M.2 and Sata III specifications. Are you able to have one M.2 drive and one Sata III drive connected at the same time? One for operating system, and one for storage, is my hope.

This board has multiple (6) SATA III ports, including (2) SATA Express. If you install an M.2 flash  drive, it takes the place of SATA III port 0. So you only lose one of the 6+2 SATA III ports.
