Question 1

I have an Lenovo IdeaCentre K450 desktop, will this fit into and work with this desktop?

Accepted Answer

Some gaming pc if they don't support over the 650. But yeah if its pcie 3 then it should. and its a great time to get a 670 now because the 670 is now the same price as when i got this card 3 1/2 months ago lol. Make sure it fits your psu though.

Question 2

Does this support 2-3 monitors with one video card?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely does, two for sure at any rate I guess I haven't tried three but I don't see why not.

Question 3

Anyone play skyrim with mods? How's this run with them?

Accepted Answer

This card will help a *little* with mods, but you'll see more benefit from pushing your ram to 16 or 32 and installing to an SSD. The few times I've run mods, the loading time has been the slowest part. I'm on a 7970 though, so hard to tell if it's the ram or the chip making a difference.

Question 4

I have a 460w psu and an amd 6600k will it work?

Accepted Answer

Not sure on the power supply. I have an older processor but a 650w PSU and don't have any issues. Depending on how many other devices you have plugged into your system, as well as the age of the PSU, you might run into issues. Hard to say.

Question 5

I have a Alienware x51 R2, I wanted to know If this graphics card would work on my Alienware x51 R2 If I have a 330 WATT Power Supply?

Accepted Answer

Idk if 330 WATT is enough... It would be safer too go with 500-600 WATT. Power supplies aren't expensive anyway, if you're going to invest in graphics card, might as well make sure you have enough power supplies.

I had a 400 WATT for my old computer with shifty integrated graphics card and the power supply wasn't enough. Safer with more so you guarantee yourself not to have computer shut down due to power shortage...

Question 6

Will this card allow me to work on dual DVI monitors and still output HD movies via HDMI to a TV?

Accepted Answer

With most NVidia graphics cards they only allow for 2 output displays per card. I am running a GTX 460 and this GTX 660 with a triple monitor stand and a TV connected as well. The 660 has 2 DVI connections, the 460 has a DVI to HDMI(for the TV) and a DVI connection.

Question 7

What is that power adapter cable with it? i cant seem to find it. i didn't get one buying refurbished. still runs with reg one but would like to have it . any one?

Accepted Answer

The added cable is an adapter to be used with an older power supply. Adapts two 4 pin connectors into the 1 new 6 pin connector. The 4 pin connectors are fitted with only 3 pins each. Hope this helps.

Question 8

I have a Dell XPS 8300 with a PSU or 460w, currently i'm running a GeForce GT 420. Will my Power Supply of 460w support this card since It says 450w minimum? I also have 2 internal SATA hardrives and a Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D THX PCIE if that makes any difference on the power consumption. I just want to run Steam games like BioShock Infinite, DisHonored and Batman: Arkham City at max or near max settings.

Accepted Answer

You should be fine, depending on how closely your PSU comes to being 80+. My 660 pulls around 170w under crysis 3 (thanks to the overclock + extra ram), with total system around 330w running a haswell i5 on mITX. The long term question is going to be whether your psu can deal with the heat, and if you end up having an early failure as a result. Best way to test would be to put your system under Furmark + Prime95 for an hour or so, and then either use HWMonitor or a IR thermometer to check your PSU temp. Over 60C or so probably means you should plan replacing it after a year or so.

Question 9

will a 430w power supply work with this card even though it says minimum of 450?

Accepted Answer

I would recommend googling "asus power calculator" and the top link will be the site i use. It is what i use every time I build a new computer, just to make sure i have a big enough power supply. Also consider getting one large enough for upgrades later, otherwise you will be upgrading your power supply to.
