Listed for sale is an LSI 9300-16i HBA SAS controller card.
It is fully updated to Avago / LSI 9300-16i IT (Initiator Target) mode firmware version P16. MPT BIOS and UEFI BIOS also flashed to the card.so that it is easier to access the controller's ROM without booting an OS. Original SAS address, Tracer number, Assembly number preserved.
The card is based on a pair of LSI SAS3008 SAS controller chipset and support 12Gbps SAS-3 storage devices. It uses a PCI-E 3.0 connection with x8 lanes. The controller has 4 SFF-8643 connectors, each carrying 4x 12Gbps SAS lanes. You will need a compatible cable to connect these to your SAS or SATA drives.
CAUTION#1: Please note this card is a high performance card and runs hot. You must install it with plenty of airflow over its heatsink. Improper cooling can cause failure and poor reliability.
