This HBA card is compatible with LSI 9300-8i and uses the SAS3008 controller. It is configured in HBA IT Mode (Non-RAID) for direct drive passthrough, JBOD, software RAID, and ZFS-based storage builds. The card supports 12Gb/s SAS or SATA 6Gb/s and uses a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface with 2x internal SFF-8643 connectors. The package includes 1 HBA card and 2x SFF-8643 to SATA cables for direct connection to up to 8 SATA drives. These included cables are for SATA drives only and are not compatible with SAS drives. To connect SAS drives, use SFF-8643 to SFF-8482 SAS cables sold separately, or choose a matched HBA + cable kit. Suitable for ZFS, FreeNAS/TrueNAS, unRAID, Proxmox, ESXi home-lab, and NAS storage applications.
