Product Description SilverStone ECU04-E is a PCI-E Gen 2.0 x2 expansion card with built-in 19-pin USB 3.1 connector (supports two ports). The original ECU04 design includes two driver chips to greatly improve performance when connecting long cables. This ensures dual 10Gbps bandwidth even up to 2 meters*, compared to the 1 meter length limit of the USB 3.1 standard. The ECU04-E is also backwards compatible with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 and is enhanced with UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) support. For operating systems with XHCI (eXtensible Host Controller interface), the ECU04-E itself is also XHCI compatible so it is easy to install without driver installation. If you are considering upgrading your computer and adding a USB 3.1 port or device, the ECU04-E will be a great starting point.
