Question 1

Kensington K55726WW or SmartFit Extra Wide Monitor Stand—which should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Choose the K55726WW if you want a fixed-height riser rated for monitors up to 32 inches and 44 pounds. Choose the SmartFit Extra Wide K52797WW if selecting among three height settings matters more; Kensington rates it for monitors up to 27 inches and 18 kg. Both offer an extra-wide platform with room to store a full-size keyboard underneath.

Question 2

Kensington K55726WW or a monitor arm—which should I get?

Accepted Answer

Choose the K55726WW for a simple, stable raised platform with space underneath for a keyboard; it supports monitors up to 44 pounds. Choose a monitor arm if you need to reposition the screen by height, tilt, swivel, or rotation and want to free desk surface. Kensington’s K55512WW arm supports monitors up to 17.6 pounds, so check your monitor’s weight and VESA compatibility before choosing it.

Question 3

Kensington K55726WW or SmartFit Monitor Stand with Drawer—which is better for desk storage?

Accepted Answer

Choose the K55726WW if you want a wide open space beneath the stand for a full-size keyboard and accessories. Choose the SmartFit Monitor Stand with Drawer if you prefer three height settings and enclosed storage for smaller desk items. The drawer model is rated for monitors up to 30 inches and 15 kg, compared with the K55726WW’s 32-inch and 44-pound ratings.

Question 4

Does it require tools or complicated assembly?

Accepted Answer

No additional tools are required for setup. It is a basic monitor riser rather than an adjustable monitor arm, so it does not offer height or position adjustments after placement.

Question 5

Is this stand suitable for a home or office desk setup?

Accepted Answer

It is suited to a stationary desk setup where you want to raise a monitor and keep a keyboard or accessories underneath. The fixed-height riser is intended to promote a more comfortable viewing posture, but it does not provide adjustable height.

Question 6

Can I store a full-size keyboard underneath it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The extra-wide platform is designed to leave room underneath for a full-size keyboard and small accessories, helping clear desk space when the keyboard is not in use.

Question 7

Will this stand support my monitor or all-in-one computer?

Accepted Answer

It supports monitors and all-in-one computers weighing up to 44 lb (20 kg), and is specified for displays up to 32 inches. Check both your device’s weight and size before buying.

Question 8

Can I attach a C-clamp monitor arm to this stand?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit user asks about clamping a monitor arm to a Kensington Extra Wide Monitor Stand, but the discussion does not confirm that it is safe or compatible. The stand’s stated weight capacity does not establish that its surface can handle the concentrated force of a clamp, so do not assume it can serve as an arm mount.

Question 9

Is it tall enough to raise a desktop PC off the floor?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit post identifies the K55726WW as an option and describes its height as about 11 cm, but does not confirm using it for a PC. The listed 44 lb capacity does not by itself establish that it is suitable as a PC stand; check your case’s weight, footprint, and clearance needs.

Question 10

Can the K55726WW be used with a 38-inch ultrawide monitor?

Accepted Answer

A Reddit user lists the K55726WW in a desk setup with an LG 38-inch ultrawide. That is an example of use, not a confirmed fit or load test; check your monitor stand’s footprint and total weight against the product’s 44 lb support limit.
