Question 1

Will the FP340UW fit a 34-inch curved ultrawide?

Accepted Answer

Do not choose by diagonal size alone: the FP340UW is specified for 34-inch 21:9 screens, but the fit also depends on the monitor’s shape and dimensions. For Dell’s curved P3424WE or P3425WE, Kensington specifies the FP340UW-DE for those models; verify compatibility for other curved monitors before buying.

Question 2

Should I get the FP340UW or Kensington’s 30-inch FP300W10?

Accepted Answer

Choose the FP340UW for a compatible 34-inch 21:9 monitor; choose the FP300W10 for a compatible 30-inch 16:10 monitor. These filters are different sizes and aspect ratios, so they are not interchangeable—the correct choice is the one that matches the monitor’s visible screen area.

Question 3

Kensington FP340UW or 3M PF340W2B for a 34-inch 21:9 monitor?

Accepted Answer

Both are made for 34-inch 21:9 monitors and provide side-view privacy. Choose the FP340UW if you want Kensington’s reversible matte/glossy finish and tab-or-tape attachment; choose the 3M PF340W2B if its finish, attachment, or availability better suits your setup. Check the monitor’s visible screen dimensions and shape before ordering.

Question 4

Does this screen help keep people beside me from seeing my monitor?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The FP340UW is a privacy filter intended to restrict side viewing, which can help in shared offices or other work areas where people may see your display. It is not a substitute for securing information on the device itself.

Question 5

Who is this monitor privacy screen best suited for?

Accepted Answer

It is suited to someone using a compatible 34-inch, 21:9 ultrawide monitor who wants to make on-screen information less visible from the sides. It is a monitor accessory, not a portable work device.

Question 6

How can I tell if this privacy screen will fit my monitor?

Accepted Answer

The FP340UW is specified for a 34-inch, 21:9 ultrawide monitor. Check your monitor’s active display size and aspect ratio before buying; a 34-inch diagonal alone does not confirm an exact fit.
