Question 1

Should I use the FP340UW-DE or leave the P3424WE screen uncovered?

Accepted Answer

Choose the FP340UW-DE when limiting side views of on-screen information and adding a protective layer are priorities. Leave the display uncovered if preserving its unfiltered brightness and color is more important; Kensington notes that privacy filters may slightly reduce brightness and alter color accuracy.

Question 2

Should I get the FP340UW-DE or Kensington’s standard FP340UW for a P3424WE?

Accepted Answer

Choose the FP340UW-DE for the Dell P3424WE: Kensington names that curved monitor as the compatible device. The standard FP340UW is listed for 34-inch 21:9 monitors, but its listed dimensions differ from the DE version, so matching screen size and aspect ratio alone does not establish the same fit.

Question 3

Kensington FP340UW-DE or StarTech 34C29 for a Dell P3424WE?

Accepted Answer

Both are designed for the Dell P3424WE and specify a 60-degree viewing angle, or ±30° from center. Choose the Kensington if its matte-side antimicrobial coating is important; choose the StarTech if its published 65% light transmittance is useful for your decision. Both are reversible matte/glossy filters with attachment strips and mounting tabs.

Question 4

Is the Kensington FP340UW-DE a better fit than a general 34-inch 21:9 privacy filter for the P3424WE?

Accepted Answer

For the P3424WE, the FP340UW-DE is the more direct fit choice: Kensington identifies that curved Dell model and lists its 21:9 format and dimensions. A general 34-inch 21:9 filter, such as 3M PF340W2E, also specifies edge-to-edge coverage, but its product listing does not identify the P3424WE. Confirm the filter’s fit with the monitor before choosing a general-purpose alternative.

Question 5

Will it fit a different 34-inch curved monitor?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. This listing specifies the Dell P3424WE and a 21:9 format; another 34-inch monitor may differ in its screen dimensions or curvature. Confirm the other monitor’s model and fit before ordering.

Question 6

Is this screen suitable for a shared or open office?

Accepted Answer

It is intended to limit side views of the monitor, so it may suit work involving information you do not want nearby people to see. The listed product details do not specify an exact viewing-angle cutoff, and a privacy screen does not replace other data-security measures.

Question 7

Will this privacy screen fit a Dell P3424WE monitor?

Accepted Answer

The product listing identifies it as designed for the Dell 34-inch P3424WE curved monitor, with a 21:9 widescreen format. For another monitor, verify the model and screen dimensions before buying; matching the diagonal alone may not be enough.

Question 8

Does the privacy screen affect image clarity or brightness?

Accepted Answer

The product listing describes the screen as glare-resistant but does not specify brightness loss or image-clarity performance. If those factors are important, check for product-specific details or confirm the return policy before purchase.
