QuickScan I QD2220, Kit,

The Datalogic QuickScan I QD2220 Kit is a corded USB handheld 1D barcode scanner for retail checkout teams and other businesses that scan standard linear barcodes at a counter.

Recommended For

• Retail checkout operators who scan printed UPC/EAN and other 1D product barcodes at a fixed, USB-connected register.
• Staff handling utility bills, books, or other documents with long 1D barcodes who benefit from a wide scan line and extended reading range.
• Counter-based workers in services such as banking, insurance, or utilities who need a corded handheld scanner for routine 1D barcode entry.
• Ticketing or retail staff who scan supported 1D codes from printed materials or electronic coupons at a fixed workstation.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• At a retail checkout, a cashier scans 1D product barcodes and gets visual or audible confirmation of a successful read, including when scanning through a plexiglass barrier.
• At a service counter, an employee scans a long 1D barcode on a utility bill or document; the extended scan line is intended to make long codes easier to capture.
• When processing packaged goods, staff scan the package’s 1D barcode to enter or verify its information in a connected system, reducing the need to type the code manually.
• At a retail counter, staff can scan a loyalty code or electronic coupon presented on a phone when it uses a supported 1D barcode; the scanner is not a 2D-code reader.
• In a bank, utility office, or similar service setting, staff can scan supported 1D codes on customer paperwork to capture the encoded information at the counter.
