Loud, Clear Group Communication. No License Needed.

Start talking in minutes, then go beyond number-only radios with loud, clear audio, named channels, Dual Watch, NOAA weather, USB-C charging and a standard K1 accessory jack—all in a complete two-radio kit.
Four Reasons FRS-A1 Is Worth the Step Up

Know Exactly Where to Talk
Name channels FAMILY, CAMP or BASE so people stop guessing where to talk.

Match Compatible FRS Radios
Tone Scan helps match compatible FRS radios without hunting through codes.

Hear Two Groups at Once
Dual Watch follows your main channel and a second group from one radio.

A Complete Pair, Ready Now
Two radios, replaceable batteries, earpieces, holsters and USB-C charging arrive together.

One Pair That Handles the Whole Group
Basic walkie-talkies stop at push-to-talk. FRS-A1 adds the tools that keep real groups organized: named channels, Dual Watch, Tone Scan, NOAA weather, clear audio and USB-C power. First-time users can start on preset channels while the organizer uses the advanced tools.
Easy on Day One. More Capable When You Need It.
Pick the same channel and talk. There is no license or app to activate. As the trip, team or emergency grows, add custom names, privacy tones, computer programming and K1 accessories without replacing the radios.

SEE WHAT THE EXTRA CAPABILITY BUYS
See What Better-Equipped FRS Looks Like
FRS-A1 adds up to 2W on permitted FRS channels, named channels, Dual Watch, Tone Scan, NOAA weather, USB-C charging, replaceable batteries, CHIRP support and K1 accessories. That means a more organized group today—and fewer reasons to replace the radios later.
Do I need a license to use FRS-A1?
No. FRS-A1 operates on 22 FRS channels with no FCC license required in the U.S. Select the same channel on both radios and press to talk.
How far will these radios really work?
Range depends on what is between the radios. Buildings, vehicles, dense trees and hills shorten it; open, clear line of sight reaches farther. No handheld FRS radio has one guaranteed distance everywhere.
Will FRS-A1 work with radios from other brands?
Usually yes. Set both FRS radios to the same shared channel and CTCSS/DCS tone. Tone Scan can help identify an unknown code. Tones filter unwanted traffic; they do not encrypt conversations.
Can a beginner use them right away?
Yes. All 22 FRS channels are ready out of the box. Advanced tools such as channel names, Dual Watch, Tone Scan and CHIRP are optional—you can add them only when they become useful.
How do charging and outdoor durability compare?
Each radio uses a replaceable 1500mAh battery and charges directly by USB-C. The pair includes a split charging cable and wall adapter. IP54 construction resists dust and splashes; it is not waterproof.
Build the Radio Setup Around the Job
Optional accessories shown are sold separately. Your two-radio kit already includes two earpiece kits.
