How is this not a fire hazard?

The number of outlets does not matter! As long as no single device draws more current than the rating of the outlet it is plugged into, and the total current draw of all attached devices does not exceed the rating of the supply cord, there is NO fire hazard.

What is the wire gauge size of the power cord, 14 AWG,16 AWG or 18 AWG?

The product overview lists it as having a 15A 14AWG cord, I'd personally prefer it be 12AWG to oversize for the given amperage, but this is at least up to code for the given draw of the device.

Is this UL or CSA rated?

It does say "rated UL94 V-0 rating" at the bottom of the Overview tab.

Yes, all outlets are surge protected.

Can you turn off the lights on this device?

The switch lights up when the power is on, and the indicator lights show various statuses such as grounded, surge protection, and wiring fault. However, it does not specify that you can turn off the lights separately.

If the unit is rated 15amps, I would assume all my compuyter devises would be higher tan that. So the unit would trip. What about the supply wire. What is the wire gauge size of the power cord, 14 AWG,16 AWG or 18 AWG?

US Residential circuits are either 15 or 20 amps. Even on a 20 amp circuit most outlets are only rated at 15 amps (there are specialty outlets for 20 amp loads). If the outlet can't handle the load then of course the power strip plugged in to it won't handle the load. Why would you assume all of your "compuyter devises" would draw more than 15 amps? That is a lot of current. If you are drawing more than that then your problem is not with power strips.

Wouldn't this overload an outlet??

This should be illegal. It is absolutely not safe.
