Are these cables noticeably thinner than standard Cat6 Ethernet cables?
Yes. These 30 AWG slim cables are only 0.15 in (3.8 mm) thickhalf the size of standard Cat6. They save space, improve airflow in server racks, and route easily around tight corners while supporting full 10G speeds.
Does this cable support Power over Ethernet?
Officially, no. TIA guidelines consider 30 AWG too thin for PoE. In our own internal testing, these cables worked well with PoE++ at lengths under 10 ft when the cables were not bundled together.
Are these cables shielded (STP) or unshielded (UTP)?
These are U/UTP (unshielded) cables designed for standard home, office, and rack patching. If your setup requires grounded STP shielding for heavy industrial high-EMI environments, please select a shielded cable model.
Will the connector clips break when pulling through cable bundles?
No. Each cable features a durable snag-free molded boot with strain relief. The boot protects the RJ45 locking tab so you can safely pull cables through dense patch panels without snapping clips.
What maximum data speed and bandwidth do these cables support?
