The new USB-C connector is not only for first generation USB 3.1! The 36 inch USB 2.0 cable with a Type-C male connector on both ends (male to male). Following the USB 2.0 standard specifications, this cable is capable of up to 480Mbps data transfer speeds.
Because the Type-C cable incorporates the new Type-C connector at both ends, this cable presently will only connect to a Type-C laptop or desktop Type-C receptacle, or device port.
