- The most common use of the SlimSAS 8i cable is in a chassis environment with SFF-8643 connectors at each end. The other common uses are as an adapter between two SFF-8643 connectors or an SFF-8643 to Mini SAS cable.
- The SlimLineSAS 8i is available in lengths from 50CM up to 15 meters and can be ordered with either straight or angled connectors.
- It can be used with SAS devices. These cables are built to comply with the requirements of SAS 4x cables.
- The cable comes with a 50CM length, connecting two devices using the Mini-SAS SFF-8643 connector and the dual SFF-8644 connectors. The cable uses stranded copper wires and features a drain wire for protection against EMI/RFI interference.
- For Broadcom 05-6002-00 application. Use this cable for NVMe connections on SuperMicro Purley backplanes.
