The InLine HDMI Full HD KVM Extender over IP transmitter is the transmitting unit of an HDMI KVM over IP system and is used to feed HDMI image signals as well as USB control signals into an IP-based network. The transmitter connects directly to a computer, server or media player and transmits image and control signals to one or more receiver units. Connected receiver units allow monitors, USB keyboards and USB mice to be operated in remote workstations. In addition, the transmitter supports the transmission of infrared control signals, so that the connected HDMI signal source can be operated from a distance.
Operation is carried out exclusively in conjunction with the InLine HDMI-KVM-over-IP receiver unit item 57885L. The connection can be realized as a direct point-to-point link or via a suitable network switch with Gigabit support. Independent use of the transmitter is not provided. When networked the transmitter can power multiple receiver units simultaneously, all of which output the same image and control signal.
