The SFF-8482 is a connector design for interfacing a connection for SAS drives, both SAS Hard drives and SAS SSD drives.

The SFF-8482 is a 29-pin connector with a plastic body, and configured with 15 pins that support the power requirements of the drive, and (2) groups of 7 pins that carry the SAS data signals.

The SFF-8482 supports 2 SAS ports (lanes) to/from the drive.

Note:

1. It can connect the SATA hard disk to SATA motherboard.

2. It can connect the SAS hard disk to SAS motherboard.

3. It can't connect the SAS hard disk to normal SATA motherboard. (it will be worked if your motherboard has the SAS chipsit, Otherwise can't work.)

4. It can't connect the SATA hard disk to normal SAS motherboard. (it will be worked if your hard disk has the SAS chipsit, Otherwise can't work.)
