The JMS580 chip converts 10Gbps USBC signal to SATA III signal, while JMB575 works as SATA port multiplier to expand one SATA channel into five independent 6Gbps SATA outputs. Designed with NGFF B+M key formfactor PCB board, this converter is perfect for building custom multidisk enclosures. It features hotswap capability and staggered spinup to reduce inrush current when multiple hard drives power on simultaneously. Since all disks share the 10Gbps upstream USBC link, aggregate throughput will be limited by USB bandwidth during parallel multidisk access. External DC power input is essential for multiHDD configuration to avoid insufficient powerrelated drive dropoffs. Hardware RAID function is not integrated; users can implement software RAID via system tools.
