Integrated heatsink prevents overheating and speed drop during longtime largefile transmission. Mini 4pin power interface ensures sufficient power supply for controller. This is hostside expansion hardware, it will NOT detect or boot M.2 SSD. Works with Windows and Linux operating systems. Prepurchase note: Your motherboard M.2 slot must be set to PCIE x4 mode. SATA M.2 drives are incompatible. TypeE frontpanel cable sold separately.
