The USB-C port with external power supply can adequately support AR devices due to their relatively low power requirements. The AR device can be powered via the host device's USB-C port, a power bank, or a wall charger. However, when connecting a portable monitor, an external wall charger is required, as otherwise the portable monitor will not receive sufficient power.
As the USB-C power delivery protocol is based on the PD (Power Delivery) standard, some portable monitors may not be fully compatible with this cable's power supply capability. In such cases, an additional power cable must be connected to supply the portable monitor. Please note: this cable cannot supply adequate power to portable monitors with 2K or higher resolution.
