Stovetop Griddles
Nordic Ware has produced stovetop cookware for over seven decades gaining expertise in cast aluminum and aluminized steel. We offer a wide variety of griddles to suit every cooking style and need. Nordic Ware is the largest griddle producer in America.
Whether you need to cook up a batch of pancakes, eggs and bacon or you're looking to sear meat and vegetables for a hearty dinner, you only need one piece of kitchen equipment to complete the task.
Using your Griddle
Use moderate heat to obtain the most effective cooking properties and prevent damage to the pan and stove. Glass-top stoves are especially susceptible to damage from an overheated pan. For use on gas, electric and ceramic stovetops. Not safe on induction stovetops.
While not necessary, cooking with butter or oil will improve cooking performance and taste of food.
Always use adequate ventilation when cooking. Do not use metal scouring pads, abrasive cleaners or sharp cooking utensils; they will scratch the nonstick.
Caring for your Griddle
- Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
- Dishwasher use not recommended, as it may shorten the life of the nonstick coating and dull the pan.
- Never leave an empty pan on a hot burner, this will cause damage to the pan’s cooking properties.
- Always use oven mitts to handle your pan, as handles will get very hot during cooking.

Founded in 1946 by an enterprising young husband and wife team, Nordic Ware began as a fledgling company specializing in ethnic Scandinavian products, as well as everyday items like griddles and steak platters. To this day, our company remains family owned and operated across three generations.
The Nordic Ware brand has endured and our products can be found in homes around the world. We now manufacture over 400 products, ranging from cookware and bakeware to microwave-safe plastic products, grilling accessories and tools for food prep and serving. We’re known for producing no-nonsense, durable goods that will be passed down from one generation to the next.
Still a family owned and operated in the US, the company is honored to occupy a place in the new Food History exhibit at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. In 2015, Nordic Ware was chosen for the prestigious Minnesota Manufacturing Award for Sustainability, which firms we work hard to minimize our environmental footprint.
