    This POE HAT (C) is a professional Power over Ethernet expansion board tailor-made for Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, which greatly optimizes the wiring layout of Raspberry Pi projects by transmitting both network data and DC power through one single Ethernet cable, eliminating messy separate power adapters and power cords. It is widely used for fixed installation scenarios such as network monitoring gateways, indoor IoT collection nodes, server room mini routers and unattended embedded control hosts.

    Strictly following IEEE 802.3af (15.4W) and higher-power IEEE 802.3at (30W) POE specifications, the module can work seamlessly with all mainstream POE injectors and POE switches on the market. After receiving POE power from the network cable, the internal high-efficiency step-down conversion circuit converts the input voltage into two independent power outputs: 5V stable power directly supplies the Raspberry Pi motherboard for normal operation, while the additional 12V dedicated power port can power external devices such as cooling fans, relay modules, small cameras, LED light strips and sensors, greatly expanding the load capacity of your Pi project without burdening the mainboards limited GPIO power.

    The HAT adopts standard Raspberry Pi stacking form factor, which is directly mounted on the top of the Pis 40Pin GPIO pin header with fixed positioning holes for stable assembly, no loose shaking during long-term running. The reserved heat dissipation window on the PCB does not block the original chip heat sink of the single-board computer, avoiding hidden dangers of overheating after stacking.

    Multiple intelligent safety protection circuits are integrated on the circuit board, including overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection and reverse connection prevention. When abnormal voltage fluctuation, short circuit of peripheral equipment or reverse cable insertion occurs, the POE HAT will automatically cut off power output instantly to avoid burning the expensive Raspberry Pi main control board, significantly improving the stability and safety of 24-hour unattended operation.
