If your displays are not the same brand+model+size, this cable will work on one HDMI port only, and users have to unplug the other HDMI port or turn off the display, otherwise it will not work. There will be some exceptions, some HDMI displays are same brand+model+size, but they cannot work together due to the DVI source (graphics card reason) doesn't supports. If It can convert the DVI signal to two same brand, model and size HDMI displays, then both displays will show the same content. It doesn't support Extended mode.
