Most computers especially laptops do not have dual HDMI outputs. Please use reliable video adapters per the following guideline:
Computer Inputs:
1. Use video adapters instead of simple video conversion cable for USB C, DisplayPort, VGA or DVI;
2. VGA adapter needs to be individually powered. DisplayPort adapter needs to be active type;
3. USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter may work but not guaranteed;
4. Resolution output relies on adapters if used any.
Monitor Outputs:
1. HDMI monitors are preferred.
2. If in case your monitor is DP or VGA interfaced, please use powered HDMI to DP or HDMI to VGA adapter;
3. If you are using a video adapter on input side (from computer to the KVM switch), and then another video adapter for connecting montior on the same video chain, it will probably cause display issue.
How to Get Dual Monitor Display:
1. Make sure to power off everything before installation, and connect the power adapter included;
2. Each computer needs 2 video connection to corresponding HDMI A and B port, HDMI IN A is for HDMI Out A, HDMI IN B is for HDMI Out B.
3. If you only need single display on each computer, you can just connect one video to IN A ports.
How to Get Keyboard and Mouse Work:
1. Connect a USB 3.0 port on each computer to corresponding USB B male port on the KVM switch using theincluded USB 3.0 cable;
2. The USB keyboard and mouse port are dedicated for hotkeys, they can be changed to standard USB 2.0 HUB ports by turning off the hotkeys;
3. Some special keyboard and mice with special features may not work well with the hotkeys, the workaround is to use the USB 3.0 HUB ports or turn off the hotkeys;
4. If you are using wireless keyboard and mouse that shares a unifying dongle, suggest to plug it into USB keyboard port (with hotkeys), or USB 3.0 port (no hotkeys).
