Important Precautions
(A) Safety Warnings
Power Off Before Connection/Disconnection: Always power OFF devices before plugging or unplugging the cable. Hot-plugging may cause sparks and permanently damage the equipment ports.
Prevent Pulling: When unplugging, hold the metal shell of the connector and pull it out vertically. Never pull directly on the cable itself, as this may break internal solder joints or wires.
Usage Environment: Do not use this product in damp, high-temperature areas, or near fire sources. Avoid pinching the cable under furniture or stepping on it to prevent insulation damage and potential hazards.
(B) Usage & Maintenance
Separate Audio Required: Remember, you MUST connect a separate audio cable when using an S-Video cable. Otherwise, you will have picture but no sound.
Resolution Limitation: S-Video is a standard-definition analog signal, typically supporting up to 480i or 576i resolution. It does NOT support 720p, 1080p, or higher high-definition resolutions. For HD experiences, please use digital interfaces like HDMI or DVI.
Connector Cleaning: If unused for extended periods, unplug the connectors and use dust caps. If oxidation causes poor contact, gently clean the metal contacts with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol. Ensure they are completely dry before reuse.
Cable Storage: When storing, coil the cable naturally without sharp bends or knots, and secure it with a twist
