Is this hardwire kit compatible with my dash cam?
Yes! Our kit features a standard 5V/1A-3A output and comes with the most common USB C connector types. It is widely compatible with major brands. Please check your dash cam's input port and voltage requirement (should be 5V) to confirm.
How does the parking mode work?
The kit is designed to enable your dash cam's built-in parking mode. When you park and turn off the engine, the kit automatically detects the loss of ACC (ignition) power and sends a signal to your camera to switch into parking mode.
Will this drain my car battery?
Absolutely not. This kit features an intelligent built-in low-voltage protection. With 4 thresholds provided, no need to worry that different car voltages will affect the functioning of the low-voltage protection. Compatible with 12V-24V vehicles
Why didn't the dash cam shut off right away when my car's voltage hit the low-voltage protection level?
Dash camera will be turned off after a delay of 5 minutes. If you are worried about the car battery drain, set a higher low voltage protection threshold
What fuse size does it use, and will the cable reach my fuse box?
The add-a-fuse taps accept standard Mini Fuses. The power cable is a generous 11.5 feet (3.5 meters) long, which is sufficient to neatly route from your windshield to the fuse box in almost all vehicles, including trucks and SUVs.
